Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about PicPulse Zero-Auth CDN, Web Component SDK, and edge image delivery.

What is PicPulse and how does the Zero-Auth CDN work?

PicPulse is an open image hosting and high-speed delivery CDN platform. Every public image is assigned a unique, SEO-friendly slug. Developers can hotlink any asset directly using https://picpulse.lushai.dev/cdn/{slug} or raw format /raw/{slug}.svg without registering an API key or signing requests.

How do I use the Web Component SDK (<pic-icon>)?

Simply paste our lightweight zero-dependency script tag <script src="https://picpulse.lushai.dev/cdn/kit.js" defer></script> into your website header. You can then render any icon or image using custom HTML tags such as <pic-icon name="javascript-programming-language-logo-cd57" size="32"></pic-icon>.

Can I hotlink PicPulse images directly from external domains?

Yes, 100%. All /cdn/, /raw/, and /thumb/ routes are equipped with full CORS headers (Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *), aggressive browser cache-control, and immutable ETag validation for lightning-fast external embedding.

What image formats and file types are supported?

PicPulse natively handles vector SVGs, WebP, PNG, JPEG, GIF, and modern raster files up to 50MB. Vector SVGs are delivered directly with clean XML sanitization, while raster images receive automatic high-density web thumbnail caching.
